Scats

Scats are a dynamic 6-member band devoted to American jazz and swing music from different periods of the twentieth century. The leading role on stage is held by three attractive girls who tuned their voices to the style of American swing that was formed in the first decades of the previous century.

A characteristic feature of this style are three vocals singing at the same time and vocal improvisation using the scat technique. Three-voice polyphonic signing in swing music is based on harmonies created by three voices at the same time – the leading vocal, the high soprano, and the low alto or tenor.

Three-voice polyphony played a very important role in the music landscape of American swing. Singing bands that specialized in this style contributed to the creation of immensely popular music hits and became iconic representatives of this period in music.
